Every year, thousands of truck drivers are pulled off the road for English proficiency violations — not because they can’t drive safely, but because they couldn’t answer an inspector’s questions. TruckTalk exists to fix that.
The trucking industry has a 60,000+ driver shortage. At the same time, DOT is actively enforcing English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2), with over 20,000 violations issued since June 2025. Drivers placed out-of-service means loads don’t move, revenue stops, and careers get disrupted.
We built TruckTalk because the solutions that existed — generic language apps, classroom courses, or hoping for the best — don’t work for people who spend their days on the road. Our training is built for how truck drivers actually learn: short audio lessons, real inspection scenarios, and offline access so it works anywhere.
We’re not trying to teach perfect English. We’re teaching the specific vocabulary, phrases, road signs, gauge readings, and time-telling that keep drivers compliant during a DOT inspection. That focus is what makes TruckTalk different.
