• Usage Data: Lesson completion times, quiz scores, app usage patterns
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Cookies: Essential cookies for login sessions and functionality (no tracking or advertising cookies)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the TruckTalk training service
• Track driver progress and generate completion certificates
• Enable company administrators to monitor their fleet's training status
• Process payments and maintain billing records
• Send important service updates and notifications
• Improve our Service and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations and DOT requirements

Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified platform with enterprise-grade security. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Regular security audits and updates
• Role-based access controls
• Secure authentication protocols

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers (Supabase for data storage, ElevenLabs for audio generation) who assist in operating our Service

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data in the following ways:

• In-App Deletion: Drivers can delete their account directly within the TruckTalk mobile app. Navigate to your profile settings and select "Delete Account." This will remove your profile and all associated personal data from our active systems.
• Email Request: You may also request account and data deletion by emailing support@trucktalk.app. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Company Administrators: Fleet managers can remove individual drivers from their company dashboard. Removed drivers are soft-deleted and can be restored within 30 days. After 30 days, personal data is permanently removed from active systems.

Upon deletion, your personal information (name, phone number, and usage data) is removed from our active databases. Certain records may be retained where required by law, including:

• Completion certificates and exam records (retained for DOT compliance verification purposes for up to 3 years)
• Payment and billing records (retained for up to 7 years per tax regulations)
• Anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to an individual

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our Service and comply with legal obligations:

• Active Accounts: Data retained while your account is active
• Completion Certificates: Retained for 3 years to support DOT compliance verification
• Payment Records: Retained for 7 years per tax regulations
• Deleted Accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days, except where legal retention is required

Children's Privacy

TruckTalk is designed for commercial truck drivers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used
• Right to delete personal information (subject to exceptions)
• Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

International Users

TruckTalk is based in the United States and our Service is intended for users in the United States. If you are accessing our Service from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
